Savaka Yoga
Listen Within

Yoga for Every Body

Picture
“I am an intermediate yoga practitioner who recently had the opportunity to take classes from Phoebe Tsang. Phoebe is a very organized, intuitive and nurturing teacher who is very sensitive to her students needs. Phoebe made an impact on my yoga practice.”
– David LeReaney (Calgary)

Savaka is ...

... an ancient Pali word that means "one who hears".

In 2014, I graduated from the 500-Hour Naada Yoga Teacher Training program, Montreal. Soon after, I returned to Toronto and created Savaka Yoga.

Savaka Yoga is a gentle yet challenging blend of hatha yoga, therapeutics, flow and meditation. It embodies the practice of listening deeply - to our bodies, hearts and minds - to facilitate deep healing and transformation.

My practice is informed by traditions as diverse as Ashtanga, Power Yoga, Anusara, Iyengar and Scaravelli yoga. I share these experiences, and my knowledge of biomechanics and anatomy, to provide a safe and compassionate learning environment.

Yoga has helped me recover from the stresses and injuries of a professional music career. Yoga studios have been a place of refuge and shared community. As a teacher, my goal is to guide you with clear verbal cues and hands-on assists, towards an experience of relaxation, rejuvenation and personal growth.

I currently offer small group and private yoga classes, and special events. Contact me for further information and registration.

“Joy, commitment and passion for her subject are the three qualities I would cite to describe Phoebe's teaching, and they arise out of her personal commitment and passion as a serious practitioner of yoga. She has an extensive knowledge of the science of yoga as well as its spiritual and physical benefits, and always tries to find the optimal approach for her students, however diverse her classes may be, to aid in their growth and development.” – Simone D. (Toronto)
